Jesus, I Give You Me!

"Jesus, I don't have anything to give you today, but just me. So Jesus, I give you me!" Take the First Step. When was the last time you gave Jesus you? Why not do it today. I am not telling you to be a social pariah. I am not telling you how you have to dress, who to associate with, what to do in your free time. All I am saying is put Jesus first. Be bold and live for Him, not for the world. Stand up for what you believe in. Close your eyes and tell Jesus, “Jesus, today I give you me. Help me to be on fire for you.” As you take one step, He will come running to you, with arms wide open. Remember, it is a daily surrender. “[Give] to God what is God’s.” Give to God that which is made in His likeness. Give yourself to Jesus.

Life With God Is A Faith Adventure Par Excellence

As a teenager, when I gave my life to Jesus, I could never have imagined the awesome adventure I was about to embark on. It is an adventure that has allowed me to travel to the ends of the earth, partner with the forces of good, and battle against the legions of evil. It is an adventure that has allowed me to see, hear and experience the supernatural as I have put on the helmet of salvation, taken up the shield of faith and wielded the sword of the Spirit. . . . Last year alone, for me, has been full of adventure, excitement and the unknown. I started the year as an employment attorney for a prestigious law firm – working around the clock on a high profile case – making good money. I am ending the year unemployed in a foreign land – working to reach and help nameless people – living completely by faith.

A wise man of God recently told me, “The opportunity of a lifetime has to be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity.” Wow. What a profound statement. And so true. God gives us opportunities to make a difference in the lives of those around us. Those opportunities are here today, gone tomorrow. We can either seize those opportunities as they come and make a positive impact in people’s lives, or we can let the opportunities pass us by, and in effect, make a “negative” impact . . . .
