Hosanna Manokaran
Hosanna Manokaran is 23 years old and is a Tamil Christian. She has a childhood desire to become a medical doctor for God and passion to reach people through this profession. God has opened many doors for her in Belarus to pursue her vision and God's call in her life. Hosanna's ministry is to sow the seed of God's word into the hearts of people and to lead them to Christ. Hosanna also envisions mobilizing other student missionaries to reach their campuses for Christ. Hosanna Manokaran was born in Tamil Nadu to Rev. Dr. J.N. Manokaran and his wife Rosy Manokaran. As a family they served as cross cultural missionaries for eleven years in Haryana where Hosanna grew up as a missionary kid. They then moved to Chennai. Hosanna is a student missionary and preparing to become a Missionary Doctor. She has a younger brother who is doing his school. Hosanna could be reached at hos_anna83@yahoo.co.in

You may find it odd that I ended up in a former Soviet republic of Belarus from South India. But the story of how I got here is a testament to God’s bountiful grace and His communication of purpose for me . . . . As a mission leader, my father always encouraged young people to pursue God’s agenda and be willing to go to new places and bring others to the Lord Jesus Christ. The will to go was certainly there, both in my parents and I. But the resources were not. As a result, there was little money to draw from. My dad had the answer: “You can go,” he said. “But, your only resource will be faith in our living Saviour. And he will provide.” But the question of where the money would come from remained. My purpose was to become a “medical missionary” but God’s higher purpose was to make me a “student missionary” first.
