South Asian International Fellowship also has a SAIF-Telugu and SAIF Tamil congregation - a focused targeted weekly evangelistic ministry to the migrant workers of Telugu and Tamil origin in Singapore mainly of blue collar shipyard and construction workers and some mission focussed Indian Singaporean PR families.

Pastor Pritam Singh Sandhu is also the International Coordinator for the South Asian Global Convention http://www.SAGC2009.com - an International Gathering for South Asian Christian Youth and Young Adults for Mission Mobilization. He has served as the Youth Pastor/ Leader of Khush Khabri Fellowship in Singapore [1996-2000, 2005-2007] and Youth Pastor at the International Punjabi Masihi Church in Vancouver, Canada [2000-2005].

He was a former Sikh-Christian now, a dreamer, a visionary leader and a risk-taker in God's Kingdom. He is passionate about young people and mentoring the Next Generation of South Asian leaders. He is also interested in networking among churches and engaging the cultures.

Pastor Pritam Singh Sandhu was a Biology and Chemistry teacher at Bukit View Secondary School and Vice-Principal at BMC Training Institute, a private education school in Singapore. He holds a Bachelor of Science [Biology] degree from the National University of Singapore, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education [Distinctions] from Nanyang Technological University, a Certificate in Christian Ministry from the Asian Christian Training School in Malaysia and a Masters of Christian Studies in Applied Theology from Regent College in Vancouver, Canada.

Pastor Pritam Singh Sandhu is also a Singapore registered licensed marriage solemnizer and conducts both civil and ceremonial marriages.

Pastor Pritam Singh Sandhu has two children - Sujaan Kaur Sandhu [born 21/06/04] and Saajan Singh Sandhu [born 04/01/09], and is married to Dr. Balbir Kaur Chaal, a UK-born Punjabi Christian and Cambridge University educated molecular biologist.

A South Asian is a person whose ethnic roots originates from the South Asian countries of either Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldive Islands, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka and living elsewhere now.

SAGC 2009 Registration fee covers all Convention materials, breakfast, lunch and dinner, refreshments and pre-arranged sightseeing. Accommodation cost is separate and not included in the Registration Fee.

VISION

The vision for South Asian Connection and South Asian Global Convention began in prayer.

In July of 2001, God laid a vision in the hearts of various leaders of the South Asian Diaspora for a new and relevant work aimed at the present and next generation of Christian South Asian Youth and Young Adults.

With this goal in mind, a core group was formed of South Asian ministry leaders and advisory council members from different countries and denominations. These individuals joined their hearts in fervent prayer for God's wisdom and creativity to turn this vision into a reality.

South Asian Connection and the first South Asian Global Convention 2004 in Vancouver, Canada and the second South Asian Global Convention 2007 in London, UK and South Asian Global Convention 2009 in Singapore is a present day reality to the glory of God.

Vicar keeps job after conversion to Hinduism
The Evangelical Alliance has today published its report into its thoughts on the next Coronation, and has concluded that Prince Charles (or King George VII, as he will be known) may not be defender of all faiths; the Christian religion must remain pre-eminent (though they do not specify the ‘Protestant, reformed religion’ presently demanded). In this, they are joined by the Bishop of Rochester, Dr Michael Nazir-Ali, who is having none of this 'multi-cultural' nonsense, and insists that all faiths cannot be defended because of the serious differences between them.

They are, however, differences with which the Church of England has increasingly little problem. One priest, the Rev David Hart, a convert to Hinduism, has been allowed to continue to officiate as a cleric. His diocese renewed his licence even though he had moved to India, changed his name to Ananda (Sanskrit for ‘happiness'), and participates daily in pagan fire offerings to the snake god Nagar, and offers prayers to the elephant god Ganesh. He also offers namaaz at Muslim prayer halls. He sees no contradiction between these practices and his duties as an Anglican priest; he said he will officiate in a Christian church and a Hindu temple because ‘My philosophical position is that all religions are cultural constructs… The modern world is no longer dominated by any single form of belief. It is a world of religious pluralism. The Anglican Church firmly believes in engaging itself fully in inter-faith dialogues. God is the same irrespective of whether you pray to him in a temple, church or mosque.’

Unfortunately, Mr Hart does not appear to understand the difference between inter-faith dialogue and inter-faith worship. As an active member of the Sea of Faith Network (need Cranmer say more?), he embraces the ‘spiritual’; there is no dogma, no orthodoxy, no truth; everything is what one wishes to make of it. He is therefore simultaneously a Hindu and a Christian; a Sikh and a Muslim; a Jew and a Buddhist; there is no difference. Quite where one is supposed to start with this absurd affirmation is not known; it requires numerous theses, not a blog entry. Does he actually believe Ganesh to be a real, divine entity? If so, do he and Jesus get along? Or is Ganesh just Jesus in an elephant suit? Or are Jesus and Ganesh actually something else: one disguised as a first century Jew, the other disguised as a large proboscidean?

The Rev Hart has reduced Jesus to simple manhood, rejecting his soteriological claims and the orthodox teaching of the Church of England. He is leading his flock astray in asserting that the laws of karma are synonymous with belief in judgement, heaven and hell, or that reincarnation is the same as resurrection. Hinduism is incompatible with the Christian religion, and the Church of England is wrong to permit this man to remain in holy orders. His acceptance is, however, indicative of the Church's likely approach to the next Coronation, where the promise to be 'Defender of Faith' is the most likely oath that will be presented to the Monarch. Such a development may put many in sympathy with today's Times, which makes a case for disestablishment as the only antidote to the infectious multi-cultural, multi-faith demands:
