What Frustrates Pastors?

(Faithful, Available, and Teachable) Christian. Wilson, a Malayalee Christian holds a BA in Biblical Studies from Trinity Western University and his mission is to make Scripture relevant to today's generation. Famous quote: "Knock it off!"

Chuck Swindoll quoted someone who identified the four things that cause frustration. It was in the context of the life of a Pastor.

Here they are:

1. Unreachable Goals

2. Unmanageable schedule

3. Uncomfortable situations

4. Unbearable problems.

Who couldn't put it better than that?

Modern day Pastors are not of the same breed or mindset like the
olden days: they have been greatly influenced by
two additional subjects. Pastors must have a good knowledge in
human pschology and business deals. So, they are caught up
in more problems and other daily stress factors of life.

See the mega churches of America and the institutions attached
with each church like; seminary, college, day care, monthly seminars
to teach about soul winning or prosperity gospel, publishing
companies, health spa, swimming pool etc. And in these enterprises, the Pastor is
involved, and it can tear down any human being.

Whom to blame? Nobody but themselves for trying to carry a heavy
load for themselves, and many of these enterprises are not
in the perfect will of God. We need not have to put all the blame on
the devil for our reckless behaviour.

Now, the economic meltdown in the U.S. has caught many Churches
off guard, which will create more stress to the already burned out
Pastors.
