Isn't it incredible? I just came back from nearly a week of visitations and free meals from friends and family. It is that time of year again and God has enriched me with some great company. Today was a little different though...
It goes back a bit. I kept meeting this guy in different parts of town. It was odd... I'd meet him at the grocery store, the library, missionfest and today I met him again at the house of some mutual friends. In fact, we seem to bump into each other every few months. We know many of the same folks as well. What connects us goes beyond that. We are worshippers of the same savior. His name is Jesus, the savior that is.
Today, I had a wonderful meal with some of my African friends and you wouldn't believe who was there. It was him again. The same friend I bump into at the grocery store, library etc. It is so divine. I know his story and it comes back to me a bit. He knows my story as well. Sometimes we'd share testimonies, prayer requests and effective tools for evangelism. I just love how God seems to connect us all together. It is marvelous!
We prayed a little prayer and realized a very true promise of God. It is not something that is just scribbled in a book but real, honest, authentic truth. It is,
"Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself." He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die." (John 12:31-33)
