I was born in a small town in the southern part of India in a state called TamilNadu. Though a Muslim by birth I grew up in a family that valued Indian tradition and culture more than religion. My ancestors devoted their lives to Indian classical music, especially to an instrument called Nadhaswaram (pipe). I was also a part of this tradition until our Lord spoke to me and anointed me with His Holy spirit. Just as the Lord chose David who played the harp for Him, I feel He has predestined me to glorify Him through my music . He called me for His Ministry seven years ago and since then I have been ministering His word to His people through the music of Nadhaswaram and the power of the Gift of the Word of God.

The quality of our programming and publication must change. We need quality. We need world-class production values. Most importantly, we need creativity. We need a committed and creative work force that will think differently to get the collective attentions of Christians and non-Christians around the world. We have a greater role to play, especially in today’s context . . . Read on as Syd Vartak challenges this young, vivacious generation to bring a tremendous change to all Christian media.

Embarrassment - Crash Movie Review

Crash is an amazing film. It brings out the ugly side of racism and highlights the stark reality of its ignorance and stupidity. How often do we conform to a stereotype thinking of what some races are, based on a few individuals who may spoil its image. Generalizations are never beneficial. Instead of pointing the finger at others, what can we do reach others? Are we an embarrassment ourselves?

Drugs, Alcohol, Music and the Grace of God

When I was on stage performing before a crowd that was high on drugs and alcohol, I suddenly heard an audible voice of the Lord, which was clearly undisturbed by all the other noises, asking me "Joe, are you using your talent constructively or destructively?"

That's the World: Movie Review of Ray

Aretha Robinson: "I'll show you how to do something once, I'll help you if you mess up twice, but the third time you're on your own. 'Cause that's how it is in the world." Is this really true? As Christians, aren't we called to be different from the world and not leave anyone on their own? Patrick gives us a beautiful insight reflecting upon the movie 'Ray'.
